Cookies & local storage
Draft version: 2026-09-28
Necessary authentication
StreamFan uses session cookies to keep you signed in, protect account access and complete provider login flows. Production session cookies are Secure and HttpOnly, which limits access by page scripts. Session cookies are separated between development, staging and production environments.
Security verification
Cloudflare Turnstile protects registration, password reset and support forms against automated abuse. The verification service processes technical signals needed to distinguish legitimate requests. Its operation must be reflected in the final privacy and cookie assessment for the deployed configuration.
Preferences and device storage
The service may keep essential interface and account preferences. Android stores session credentials in secure device storage. We do not place web session tokens in ordinary local storage. Optional analytics or non-essential storage must not be enabled without the appropriate controls and legal review.
No advertising trackers at launch
The initial release does not include advertising SDKs, advertising banners or cross-site advertising tracking. Operational service analytics are processed by the backend and are described in the Privacy Policy.
Your controls
You can clear cookies in your browser, which may sign you out and reset session-related state. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login. You can end sessions from Settings or delete your account through the account deletion page. Final cookie names, purposes and lifetimes must be confirmed against the deployed authentication configuration before publication.
